Dr. Bourget’s journey in the medical field began with a BSc in Physiology, followed by a PhD from McGill University, where he conducted research on enzyme treatment for the inborn error of metabolism PKU. He then pursued his passion for oral healthcare, graduating from McGill University’s undergraduate dental program and completing his maxillofacial surgery training at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

His commitment to excellence led him to further specialize through fellowships in Cleft Lip and Palate reconstruction and Facial Cosmetics in France, as well as advanced courses in facial reconstruction at renowned institutions like the Mayo Clinic and universities across Europe and the United States. Dr. Bourget also holds fellowships from the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (FIAOMS) and the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery (FASLMS).
